Frequently Asked Questions
About Medispress
Who is Medispress made for?
Medispress was designed for people of ages 5 years old and older who want affordable, convenient, and high-quality healthcare—without the long wait times or limited access.
What is a telehealth appointment, and how does it work?
A telehealth appointment is a virtual consultation with a doctor via secure video or audio call. Through Medispress, you can speak with a licensed healthcare provider, discuss symptoms, get a diagnosis, and receive prescriptions if clinically appropriate—all without leaving home.
To get the most from your appointment, make sure you have a stable internet connection and a quiet, private, well-lit space. You can join your appointment via the app or a web browser.
Should I book an online consultation or visit a doctor in person?
It depends on your needs. Telemedicine allows you to speak with a licensed doctor online from the comfort of your home, making it an excellent choice for non-emergency conditions, prescription refills, and follow-up care.
However, some health concerns—such as emergency, life-threatening situations, severe mental health crises, lab tests, physical exams, or urgent care requiring hands-on treatment—may require an in-person visit. If you’re unsure whether your condition is suitable for a telehealth consultation, you can book an online visit with a doctor to discuss your symptoms and receive guidance on the best course of action.
What if I don’t have a camera for my virtual visit?
If your device doesn’t have a camera, you may be able to proceed with the appointment using audio only. Once the session starts, the chat will be open for you to communicate with your provider. Please note that some concerns may require video, so the provider will advise if a camera is necessary.
